Lower Pottsgrove Athletic Association

LPAA is open to boys and girls in the Pottsgrove School District (separate divisions) in grades 1-6. The registration fee is $130.00. For the 1st/2nd division, the registration fee is $80.00. There are three divisions by grades. The 1st/2nd grade players are combined, the 3rd/4th players are combined and the 5th/6th graders are combined. Divisions are separated by boys and girls. The 1st/2nd division could be Co Ed depending on number of players registered. During the season, each team will play 8 games with one practice per weeknight. All games are located at the Pottsgrove Middle School and are held on Saturday mornings. (Game schedule released in December). Practices are held during the week at either the Middle School, Lower Pottsgrove, Ringing Rocks or West Pottsgrove (The Day and Time based on coaches availability). The winter basketball season runs November through February. Practices begin in November and games begin the first Saturday in January. Please note some additional games may be played away vs other leagues to provide more games throughout the season. These dates are all TBD.

The Draft: Each player will be placed on a team based on their short draft performance and divided into even teams. The draft is where each player will showcase their skills individually so the volunteer organizers can draft them to a team. If you cannot make the draft day, your player will still be selected to a team. 

Draft Day - October 22nd 

5:30-6:30 1st & 2nd Grade Boys and Girls - Aux Gym - This will be more of a skills and drills session. 
5:30-6:30 - 3rd/4th Grade Boys 

6:30-7:30 - 3rd/4th/5th/6th Girls - Aux Gym

6:30-7:30 - 5th/6th Grade Boys
For the 3rd-6th players, once your player completes their quick draft, you can leave.

The league is coached by volunteer coaches - If you are interested in coaching, please submit the registration. 

 All volunteers must submit a background check and child abuse clearance in order to coach.

All games are officiated by PIAA officials. The officials are provided by the PIAA and NOT selected by the coaches or directors. All officials must be treated with respect.

Practices Begin: November 3rd, 2025

*There are no practices during school breaks, including Thanksgiving & Winter break* 

*There are no practices due to inclement weather during school cancellations

*There are no practices during school events like concerts, conferences, etc.

The LPAA league is run and organized with the help of volunteers Sydney Marshall (all ages 1st-6th) , John Stetler (5th/6th grade boys) , LeAnne Boyle (3rd/4th grade boys) and Victoria Marciano (girls 3rd/4th-5th/6th)
